Comments | セカイモンで入手した。 説明書には、「Cathedral Goblet 」（Cathedral は大聖堂の意味）とされている。「Bryce Brothers と United Staｔes Glass Company 」（1891年の合併前の会社名は Orion で Waffle and Fine Cut で知られている） の1885年ごろの製品とされている。 「PatternGlass.com」の「Goblet」⇒「the 1st room of goblets」の5列目に「CATHEDRAL aka（as known as）Orion was made by Bryce in the 1880s. A beautiful shade of blue. $75 」 として blue の goblet が掲載されている。また、オリオンとしても知られているとされる。ただ、同時に生産されたと考えられる本品は掲載されていない。 本品は、パターンがかなり精巧であり、色は淡いイエロー（pale yellow)、ガラスの厚みもほどよく、落ち着きがある。ただ、蛍光灯下での蛍光の発色は少なめ。1880年代に生産されたウランガラスは色が淡いとされることから、本品はオリジナルと考えられる。 |
