Comments | セカイモンで入手した。 説明書には、「Vintage Yellow Vaseline Glass Wine Goblet 」とされ、「使用されているが状態はよい」と記載されていた。イエロー（Canary）のゴブレットで、確かに使用されていたと分かるが、状態は非常によく、割れ欠けなど一切ない。重量感があり、しっかりとした造りであるが、精緻さに欠ける。また、気泡、型の跡などが認められ、時代を感じさせる。 （１）「PatternGlass.com」の「Goblet」⇒「the 4th room of goblets」の3列目に「This is Russian russina uranium glas dessert coupes. It has the maker's mark of the Fedorvsk Brothers Factory, circa 1850 under the base. More info about it is available to potential buyers. We have 2 with one being slightly larger. Each $250」 として 同様なデザインの vaseline の デザートカップ （coupe クープ）が掲載されている。 （２）同様なゴブレット（coupe クープ）が「Vaseline Glass Collectors, Inc.」⇒「VASELINE GLASS MANUFACTURERS」⇒「Fedorovsk Brothers」に「Dessert coupe and matching underplate, Fedorovsk Brothers, Russia, c. 1850. 」の写真と共にオークションにおける解説が掲載されている。 「Eight russina uranium glas dessert coupes and underplates. Marker's mark of the Fedorvsk Brothers Factory with impressed marks, circa 1850. Each green faceted on conforming scalloped underplates with oval cartouches: 6" high, quantity: 8. In the mid-nineteenth century, the development of uranium glass with its bright fluorescent color caused a number of large services to be created by the Imperial Glassworks, the most important having been commissioned by Emperor Nicholas I for the cottage at Peterhof. Both the cup and the underplate are canary flint glass.」 （この写真のカップと皿については、カップの底にロシアのマークがある。非常によく似たスタイルのものが米国でも製作された。さらに、すべてのロシア製のカップの底にFedorovskのマークがあるわけではない。両方のカップと下皿はカナリーのフリントガラスである。） 」との説明がある。 （３）なんでも鑑定団2011年7月10日に出品された「ウランガラスのゴブレット8脚セット」はロシア皇帝のガラス工房でロマノフ朝時代の1850年代に作られたものとされたが、ゴブレットのパターンが本品と同じ。 （４）セカイモンに、 「Very Rare Russian Tea Glass - Circa 1850s Vaseline Flint Glass - OUTSTANDING!（非常に珍しいロシアン・ティー・グラス−1850年代のワセリン・フリントガラス−逸品！）($75〜125) 」として出品されていた。詳しい説明が掲載されていたが、形、色、大きさ、底の造りが同じで、しかも銘も入っていないので、本品と全く同じものと考えられる。 本品は イエロー（Canary） の Uranium Glass（Vaselin Glass）である。一方、「Fedorvsk Brothers Factory」製とされる「Vaseline Glass Collectors, Inc.」の「VASELINE GLASS MANUFACTURERS」の「Fedorovsk Brothers」に掲載されている「Dessert coupe and matching underplate, Fedorovsk Brothers, Russia, c. 1850. 」の写真はグリーン系である。底にあるとされる「Fedorvsk Brothers Factory」のマークはない。放射活性は1.1。大きさは高さが15.2 p、外径が8.2 pで記載されている大きさと合致している。造りはそれほど精緻ではない。ただ、底がきれいにカットされている。このような底のカットはEAPGでは見られないことから、ロシア製である可能性が高い。 なお、米国でも非常によく似たスタイルのものが製作されたとあるが、Vaseline Glass Idetification によると、複製品は製作されていないとのこと、また、同様の Russian Goblet を所有しているが、銘は入っていないとのこと。 |
