Comments | セカイモンで入手した。タイトルでは、EAPG Circa 1891 Northwood Vaseline Cranberry Art Glass Spatter Leaf Mold Tumbler 米国のNorthwood社製の Spatter Leaf Mold（撥ねかけ葉型）のタンブラーとされる。 Northwood社が1891年ごろに製作したEAPGで、葉っぱのパターンから「Leaf Mold」と呼ばれており、Cranberry のスポットとオパールのドットがある華麗なコンビネーションのうすい乳白色（サテン仕上げ）のウランガラスである。 VASELINE GLASS Canary to Contemporary, The Comprehensive Guide to Yellow-Green Pattern Glass, Art Glass and Novelties from 1840 to the Present by David A. Petersonの p196 のNorthwood Co.の LEAF MOLD の説明によると、（No.333 Royal Onyx 1891年としても知られている）このパターンはクリアーとsatin(サテン）仕上げが見られる。種々の色：クリアー、ブルー、ルビナ（赤を伴うクリアー）、ルビー、カナリー、赤を伴うカナリーと白の撥ねかけ葉で作成されている。このパターンの製品には、テーブルセット、ウオーターセット、薬味瓶、シロップ入れ、塩と胡椒入れ（写真＃529はクリアー）、楊枝入れ、セロリホルダー、ベリーセット、香水瓶、ランプが含まれる。 LEAF MOLD (omn: No.333, also known as Royal Onyx, circa 1891): This pattern can be found in both clear and satin finishes. It was made in variety of colors: clear, blue, rubina (clear with red), ruby, canary, canary with red and white spatter, and opaque turquoise. Pieces made in this pattern include a table set, water set, cruet, syrup, salt and pepper shaker (photo #529 shows a clear version), toothpick holder, cerely holder, berry set, cologne bottle and a two piece fairy lamp. Vaseline Glass Identification には、乳白色ではなく透明ガラスタンブラーの写真 が公開されている。また、見事なコレクションの写真 が公開されている。 また、同じタイプで模様が違う タンブラー がオークションに出品されていた。 Northwood社の「Leaf Mold」で、しかもオリジナル。Cranberry のスポットとオパールのドットがある下地に薄い乳白色のワセリンガラスをうすく被せてサテン仕上げとなっている。クリアータイプは見かけるが、これはベースが薄い乳白色で珍しい。ただ、蛍光灯下での緑色の発色はかなり薄い。ブラックライトの照射下では、オパールが白っぽく一番明るく、クランベリーは一番暗く、ワセリンがその中間の明るさとなっている。クリヤータイプのタンブラーも入手したい。 |
